STOLEN in LA: 2016 S1000RR Blk/Red

Hopefully I am posting this in the right place

For those in the LA area:

Last Wednesday, 9/27/17, a pair of thieves stole my 2016 BMW S1000rr out of my apartment complex's (AVA Little Tokyo) gated garage @ 12:25pm 9/27/17 in Little Tokyo/Downtown LA.

VIDEO and PHOTOS of the theft/thieves are posted on my facebook

The thieves were driving a red dodge caravan with what seems to be Huntington Beach Fiat/Dodge/Chrysler dealership plates.

They saw me on the street, followed me back to my apartment (I got back home and parked my bike at 12 noon), then waited for a car to enter the gated garage and followed that car past the gates into the garage

At 12:25pm, they loaded my bike into their van, then waited for another car (different from the first car) to open the gates and leave the garage and followed them out.

Black/red 2016 BMW s1000rr
Legacy CA plate (black with yellow lettering): "HKG"
Forged hp4 wheels
Akra titanium slip on with R&G sliders
Tail tidy with integrated tail light
R&G frame sliders
Dark smoke double bubble (not pictured in the last two photos)
Red reflective rim tape
Gold did chain

If anyone sees it please let me know or call LAPD Central Division's auto detective team!

RIP

I really hope you find it!! I've spread this post to my friends in LA.

I watched the video and the way they stuff your bike, it breaks my heart and angers the hell out of me!

This is nearly identical to how my 600rr was stolen... And this is also why I started preparing/searching for a singlefamily home with a garage the very next day... I never saw that bike again...

Very sad, I hope they catch these guys, you should contact your local news channels, they love videos like these and it will get you extra eyes.

It takes me about 45min to meticulously load and strap my S1000RR on the trailer for a track day, I cringed to see them jam it in there like it was some cheap moped.

Consider investing in a Pit Bull TRS.

I have a Kendon single bike trailer, the mounting/welding process for the pitbull is an expensive and time consuming project, a rider I know attempted it and ruined his trailer.. problem is there is very little room to work with in the rear folding part and you have to reinforce the whole section. I hope Kendon comes out with a better design that allows for this mod.
