It won't be out till next year. Looks like all the good bikes are out in 2020.

Everybody and their brother has an R6. I've wanted the 790 ever since seeing this video:

And then there is this too.

It looks like the ultimate hooligan bike and from what I've read is pretty good on the track as well.

Agreed.

Do you have any KTM resources that can confirm if there is a 790 R or not? I would rather pay out right for the R version than mod base 790. But two local dealerships don't have a clue. Every other bike blog/site say there is a 790R coming, but no release date details.

I'll see if my local KTM dealer knows anything and post back.

I'm pretty sure there are owners of RR's from before 17/18 model with no bike issues...might even be some on this forum...
Just a few. Plenty of owners on here with ton of miles.

https://www.topspeed.com/motorcycles...-ar181900.html

The main complaints from reviews are braking and non adjustable suspension and it looks like with Brembo's and the new WP adjustable suspension they might fix those complaints.

Personally I like my middleweight bikes to be able to go off road, I was a bit put off by the price of the 790 ADV R (I would go with an F850GS before a 790 ADV R) but am antsy to see a price for the T7.

It's a lot of fun passing people on 600s when you're on a 250 with knobbies. Like someone else here mentioned, I am interested in taking a Ninja 400 for a spin at some point...riding slow bikes fast can be a lot of fun sometimes. Even that Ohvale GP-0 looks hella fun (Cartman voice) and it's a lot cheaper to run at the track (one set of tires a season, what?)

Some people do go for the grin factor over reducing lap times as the gentleman who talked about the 400 can attest to (in this case, the KTM probably will give you the grin factor over an R6).

Agreed, hopefully 790 R will be released to fix suspension and brakes.

Mini/small bikes could be fun, but let's be real. They all top out at 100-120mph and that's like 1st for a big bike. They're more fun on a gocart or smaller track, but turds on bigger tracks. If I'm gonna go through the hassle of hauling bikes, pay for track days, etc... I would want at least a 600, just me.

On financial side, a well sorted out track 400 is about $7-8k. I would rather pay $11k for a sorted out 790/R6.

Daytona? I thought it was discontinued as a sportsbike.
Returning Daytona. The triple is 13 pounds lighter then the KTM and 11 more hp.

Returning Daytona won't be around till 2020.

Which triple? Even the RS has worse handling based on reviews.

A rider with a 600 must use drag to not get gapped by a liter bike. But that requires skill, which you do not have.
