So while waxing the bike to remove dead bugs after a late night ride, I decided to wax the carbon wheels also and seems I've found what appears to me as "frayed material/carbon" under the clear coat of the back wheel and smaller but still noticeable spot on the front one as well(never noticed before but totally could have been like this). Attached I have a few photos (the best I could get using two phones one to provide light the other to snap a pic) I'd love for an expert to let me know they are fine an well as I'm not wanting an unexpected failure. I'm new to carbon wheels an understand there will be flaws so this could be totally fine. I understand you will need to see it in person to get a better view but if you can see at all, should I be worried? Seems to be a very nice "weave" around all the others on the wheel, just this one on the rear and similar on the front in one spot doesn't look right to me.

Ps: Dealer has been notified email sent just hours ago will drop off this afternoon.

Not really seeing anything unusual. Post a picture circling the part which you are referring to.

The wheels on the 2020 are not the same as the ones you'd get for the HP4. The new 2020 S1000RR wheels are not Thyssen Krupp wheels.

From the fraying I could see I would consider it a non-issue. That looks to be the end cut at the spoke where it would be hard to control fraying. Although my Rotobox CF wheels found a way to control this with dazzling workmanship.

That third pic looks like maybe delamination (which would be a bad thing but hard to tell in this pic).

If it looks like air inside there where the carbon is delaminating that is a structural issue that needs looking at. If the resin is clear all the way thru and no air then it's probably ok...

Ok, I just pulled into house now I'm going to pull it out an see if possible to get a few better pics. And to what you described as "air inside where the carbon is delaminating" I'm certain that's happening as I can see the discolouration on other spots within the wheel. Will update shortly.

Here is a picture I THINK of what your talking about. It's on the same rear wheel ( different than the orginal perceived issue by myself) It doesn't wipe off, not dirt, it's surely under the clear coat.

Here are more pictures, outlined in "RED" (perceived issue by myself) outlined in "Green" (perceived as great/good condition safe to ride) all pictures are of SAME REAR wheel just different locations.
