Hi Beam issue

My fairly new LED hi-Beam went out. I took it out and put in the factory bulb and that’s not working either. Is there a fuse for the headlights that I should check before returning the LED and going to the bike shop for them to check it. .

You can always use the functioning side wiring (low beam) to test both of your bulbs to see if they are working. Once you've tested both bulbs, perform the same test on the high beam wiring. If the test shows it's just the high beam side, you may want to check the fuses. I'm not sure if the low and high are fused separately, but I would like to thing they are to avoid you losing all headlights in case of a blown fuse.

Good luck,

By the way, I did a quick search and here's what I found:

Fuse 1 10 A, instrument cluster
Fuse 2 4 A, cutoff relay, diagnosis plug, anti-theft alarm
Fuse 3 Not in use
Fuse 4 7.5 A, low-beam headlight, load relief relay
Fuse 5 7.5 A, high-beam headlight
Fuse 6 7.5 A, optional accessory connector, number-plate
Fuse 7 4 A, ignition switch
Fuse 8 4 A, rotation rate sensor, multifunction switch, left
Main Fuse 40 A

It looks like Fuse #5 (in a small black box under the passenger seat) is the fuse for high beams. Test that also. -Sam
