Quickshifter Issue's the top of 4th & 5th gear.

Just the past month I noticed when I was at the track I was unable to quick shift up at high rpm's to 5th & 6th gear sometimes. Now it's happening more often. Wondering what could be the issue on my 2015. I have already done the shift link recall long before this started.

I am not sure 100%, but I think once the QS adaptive values set in the ECU, they stay even if they are not working out very well.

so that might mean you need to reset the current adaptive values and restart the QS process to get some better working values in there.

The dealer can remove adaptive values. The GS911 can reset adaptive values.

I dont think that removing the negative cable works on resetting adaptive values however. it will reset DTC's , but I am pretty sure it does not reset the adaptive values.

Mine was having issues before an oil change time and i had the dealer reset my values. Once I did the relearn it worked alot better 4 5 6 ... my 1 2 is still so bad I hate it. Big lag time between 1 and 2

I had the EXACT same problem and it was a minutely rounded off shift star.. Also, are you running a stronger than stock shift star spring?

My dealership took 3 tries to find the issue and it was the eagle eye of their master mechanic who figured out it was the shift star. Once replaced, ZERO issues.

Cheers.

Wonder the price & if this will be covered under warranty. I do have over 32k miles on this bike so this could be it. I'm using lightech rear sets but switched the shifter rod and lever parts back to stock. The multiple times of changing myself and dealer on the shift star may have contributed to this.

This is the shift star, in case you don't know what it is.. It's the star under the green circles

Common issue

This is a very common issue, I encounter it at most racing environment type situations. Usually at full throttle it will hang up 3-4 or 4-5, an most common when using auto blip. There are 2 other riders on S100RR, an all 3 of us discuss this issue. I was discussing this with Brock ( Brock's performance ) at the Mojave Race last April. He said the one thing he found on his personal S100RR, was to run the chain tension a little on the tight side. It seems to have made difference for my bike this year at Bonneville, still had it happen, just not as often.

1- Have you had the shifter arm recall done? Dealer replaces it for free

2- It's mostly either the shifter star, or shifter rod/springs. You need to take it to the dealership, have them open the clutch box and look at it. Like in SBS's pic.

Which bikes

What years were included, I new there was a recall, just didn't think my bike fell under the parameters. So to answer your question no recall done.
