Something is brewing in NorCal

This is just a teaser that I am working on a riding seminar with a well known *Special Guest* that will cover riding techniques and mental mindset.

So far Mr. X is excited about the idea and is all for it.

After the seminar there will be a group ride to Alice's Restaurant.

more to follow...

Just wanted to give my NorCal folks an update. After discussing it further with Mr. "X" it was decided to move the date from October to near the spring time.

Which is good as it will allow some time to prepare for some riding exercises.

So at this point, this event is on the slow cooker.

Well known - to who?
45 yr olds and up, or 44 and below?

(?)David Aldana(?), haven't heard much from or about him in a long time.

Great question! Love the Aldana reference. He was one of my favorite crazies from back in the day.

Veering off a bit (sorry @Outta Control), I met "skeleton leathers" and Tray Batey back in 1996 when American Suzuki was providing free track instruction with purchase of a new GSX-R through Team Suzuki Endurance AKA TEAM HAMMER.

My buddy George had bought a new 1996 750, so I tagged along to Summit Point.

So much fun listening to them tell stories back and forth about their escapades.
The one that stuck with me was Aldana talking about crashing once while near the front, on the first lap or second of a race at Riverside (? Somewhere that's not immediately familiar to me, Ascot?).

He was pissed at himself, but unhurt. He went on saying he laid "perfectly still", as it was a somewhat innocuous area (if there is such a thing on a "live/hot" racetrack) hoping/wishing/praying for a redflag.

He got it, was able to join the restart and finish on the podium.

Sorry it is not Aldana.

Could possibly be Reg Pridmore or Jason Pridmore or Kevin Schwantz, or Chris Peris or Josh Herrin or Elena Meyers.

Elena would be good to see re-enter the realm after unfortunately quietly leaving.

Your initial tease mentioned "Mr.X", so I'd bet it disqualifies her.
Same for Josh, baby-face not really someone I'd ever associate with Mr.

Jason seems to be sort of busy with beIN and Motoamerica.

The remaining three...leaves me wishing I had some free time, and about $1000 of discretionary funds.

Ahhhh yes, but I have some "time" coming my way, my wife's Uncle lives in Vallejo, and I could meet YOU, @wfo439 and @SmashAdams, plus the mystery guest, and whoever else, have peaked my interest, in addition to the low humidity, low to no rent - provided I cook some Cajun meals for my in-laws, for a few days.

May not need the whole $grand to make it work. Whooooot...whoooot!!!!!

Has to be Reg considering you spent the weekend camped next to him at Laguna. I doubt Kevin would travel from Texas for a gig with little or no money in it for him.
