Getting my Red s1000rr this weekend :)

Hi everyone,

This is my first BMW motorcycle. Super excited to finally own one. I have owned Apache RTR 180. Then Duke 390. Now I currently own 2016 GSX-R600. I am planning to trade in this to the new 2020 s1000rr. None of my motorcycles have had any electronic assistance. ABS, DTC etc etc are all new to me. Hopefully they will help me ride better. I never expected to have bluetooth, navigation and heated grips on my motorcycle, I am hoping this to be very convenient. Thank you BMW!

I am planning to reduce seat height buy the M seat with lower seat height. Not sure when this will be available though.

I live in Stamford, CT. Sadly the nearest track is more than two hours away and is expensive. Would have loved to take these to track though.

Hope to meet fellow riders around NYC,
-Abhiman

Hey i'm nearby also, work about a mile from downtown off exit 6 and live in Norwalk. Have the Black and red 3rd gen, pretty loud, rearsets and tank grips otherwise stock.

2 hours isn't that far, Palmer and Thompson are exactly 2 hours, NYST is 3..rent a Uhaul or borrow a pick up truck. This bike is MEANT to be on a track, it has the aids, far too much power for most, you'll forget about the cost after the first track day haha.

I bet the anticipation is killing you. I remember to wait to arrival for my bike, felt like I was 3 years old on Christmas morning....
