Thumbs up 2016 S1000RR Overheating - Coolant Change

If you recently changed coolant on your bike and it's starting to overheat, please make sure you burp the system. There are a few coolant changing kits out there that included multiple pieces to ensure you are burping the cooling system properly.

-You're welcome!

The screw that bleeds the water pump is a good place to start.

I've never used a "kit" whatever that means, hoping he will come back and share the knowledge.

Agreed. This is the only trick/tip I have.

Remove coolant pump priming screw before refilling the system with coolant. As you refill the system air will come out of this hole. Once coolant starts to come out, replace the screw. Then finish filling the system. Finally, fill the expansion tank to between the MIN and MAX marks on the expansion tank.

If there is more to know I would be delighted to learn.
