Comparison on the track. Some points to note:
-the V4R has the full Akra, the RR is stock
-they say the RR is a lot more comfortable, perhaps too comfortable for the track
-the V4R costs about twice as much as the RR.
For someone who rides mainly on the road with an occasional track day, I know which one I would prefer.
Give me an extra $20k on top of the regular BMW and we can make a missile of a motorcycle. That will get you a world superbike engine with god knows how much hp.
Power and torque approx. 159-163 KW (216,2-221,6 hp at 13.500 rpm), 120-123 Nm (at 10.500 rpm)
Mapping for engine 7.2 recommended (HP Race ecu mapping and activating of HP RCK3 requested)
- mileage till rebuilt 2.500 km
- different valve train (cams, valve springs)
- Pankl steel conrods
- selected pistons
- special side oil pan
- special airbox
- EVO gearbox
- fine-balanced crankshaft
- Engine is running in on dyno with power check
- ready to race
- suggested exhaust system: Akrapovic full system without catalyst
The engine stand is not included but can be ordered separately (article code 8330A050A00).
Honestly when they compare a bike that costs literally half the amount of another, you know you made the right choice. The whole time they were favoring the V4R, but it's because you could buy two of the M's for the same amount. Get a base/race package and you can add everything the V4R has and end up around the price of a V4S ($27,500). At this point you could still buy another M package for the same price of one race kit V4R.
A ducati owner in dianese leathers...who would have thought.
