Bad BMW Factory Tune just lost the S1k Sportbike of the Year

https://www.motorcycle.com/mobos/bes...e-of-2019.html

BMW fans are probably wondering about the S1000RR’s exclusion here. If you’ve read the First Ride Review of the BMW then the reason should be clear. The new S-Thou has the bones to make it a worthy contender, but its out-of-the-box tuning let it down severely.

Glad to see it get more public acknowledgement and attention honestly. It's pretty ridiculous levels of bad, and there had to have been a better solution. That said, I'm still buying one, flashing it and look forward to more track time with it.

They haven't updated the looks in a decade apart from the wings. I can confirm though this is a great bike.

it was a great looking bike until they put the wignlets on it... those things look ridiculous and ruin the lines

Listen. You can fix that easily by putting some flames down the side and a big a$$ carbon fiber ricer spoiler on the back. Pimp out da wheels by doing some gold plating and on the muffler you could use either rhinestones or cubic zirconia to write "pimp life" or your name. See how easy?

Speaking of winglets, I wanna see if the rumors around the 2020 CBR1000RR are true (supposed to debut in October) about patents for active aerodynamics, winglets that retract.

Of course the bigger rumor is the most powerful HP inline 4 production street bike.
We’ll see, would be quite a 180 from their current modus operandi.
