Jesus, that's wild.

In the states when people hit deer it usually doesn't end well. They're almost as dumb as roo's.

Man, that's crazy. I avoid riding at night, dawn and dusk because of deer (among other things), especially on rural/hilly roads where I like to play. Can roos be similarly avoided?

I used to live in the mountains for a while. I travelled to work in the dark and home in the dark. But with amount of roos i hit. I needed to move. Too dangerous to be putting that amount of unnecessary risk on myself everyday. Most roos are very stupid. They can be quite happy in a grass paddock or in the bush well away from the road. But for some reason when a vehicle is coming they want to cross the road. On a bike your main problem is they hop. If you hit one mid hop. It will hit you in the chest and head. I was lucky to hit that one when it landed. Some of them can be 6ft tall.

Cool Building Miles for Break-In Service

2020 M Sport. No farkles yet! Put 351 miles on her (name is Heidi) yesterday riding up and down CA 245/180 and various connectors around and near the Kings and Sequoia Natl Parks. Working to get to 700 by next Thursday for the break-in service. Just picked her up 2 days ago after it sat for 2 weeks at the dealer while BMWNA "evaluated" my dealer's, and my concerns about the front right fork clunk (no remedy yet).

LOVE THIS BIKE!

Congrats! You're going to enjoy it even more with the limiter removed.

850 miles (in one month). I usually ride more but it has been really hot here in Austin and I've spent half the month on the beach or in the mountains away from the bike.

I had it serviced a week ago and Brentuned today. But I'm leaving for another couple of weeks to ride on a rented GS through the Sierras and then to Willow Springs for a two-day CSS camp.

Sooo... I have a whopping 1214 miles on my bike. For better or worse it is already relegated to "track only."

Current mods:

XWORKS flash
Akra Full EVO
BMW Radiator and oil cooler guards
Alpha race spec drain plug
Pro Bolt race spec Ti fork pinch bolts and caliper bolts
AIM Solo 2 DL
Aim Smarty Cam GP HD Rev 2.2

kiersa brenner

GB Racing Cover set
Alpha spools (Is this really a mod? Spools are a necessity)
520 kit. EK racing chain and Alpha counter and rear sprockets 16/44

These are track day upgrades:
Missile suit with tech air vest and a more powerful generator. Need to power 2 sets of warmers for No Mar trailer mount tire changes at the track with carbon wheels.

where is a fifth third bank near me

Parts on order:

Carbonin WSBK Fairings in BMW Motorrad WSBK Livery Replica Will look like this minus the seat and carbon front and rear fenders. Will use the stock seat and tail as they hold the Smarty cam module.

Alpha 6mm Race discs
Pro Bolt Ti bolts for mounting heavier discs
Gilles frame sliders
Gilles rear sets

And yes, the new bike will get the good parts I purchased for the HP4 when I get the chance to swap them over.

Wow - it's like Christmas came early at your house!

I have a Solo 2 currently and like it. I'm tempted to get the camera. Having used it, would you still buy it over a GoPro or other?

Absolutely. I'm not sure what the procedure is now but it used to be a royal pain overlaying data and syncing it with the video. I'm basically lazy and the camera does this for you in conjunction with the Solo 2. Being able to see rpm, gear, speed, throttle position and brake pressure where ever you are on the track tells you at a glance where you are screwing up. The Go Pro shoots higher resolution but that's not why I review video.
