My first 5,000 K with the 2020

Last month, I got a call from the dealer (Spain): your bike is not supposed to arrive until end of September,
but we just got one for the showroom just like the one you ordered, M with no pillion seat, do you want it?
One month later, these are my impressions:

Engine: I was concerned about all the complaints about vibration.
The first few hundred kilometers the engine was very tight. I did the initial break-in in three days, with an intermediate oil change at 300 kms.
After the upper ranges of RPMs were available, a second break-in of the 9000 to redline range followed.
When you are reaching 180 kph in second and 215 kph in third approaching redline, you better look for a godforsaken place free of law enforcement.
Anything over 10,000 rpms in fourth gear in the street is completely out of the question.
After 1,500 kms, the bike started to feel smoother than my old 2016 S1000RR, and now it is amazingly fluid.

The TFT display is wonderful. I only use the RacePro modes, so I havenīt tried the connectivity
(donīt see why this is not available outside of the four original modes).
The Race Pro modes are very easy to program. Not only you get to pick and choose from the original modes,
but there are other options as well. My favourite is Engine position 3 (soft throttle response, maximum torque)
not available in any of the four modes. It makes brake to throttle transitions in midturn a real pleasure.
I have the same settings on all three RacePro modes, with three different suspension settings.

The brakes are very responsive: you can brake as much or as little as you want, which makes trailbraking very easy.

The seat is hard as a plank but, strangely, not an issue. The first time I sat on it I thought, f*ck, I wonīt last one hour,
and then I completely forgot about it for the rest of the day.

I didnīt care much for the Michelin Power RS that came with the bike, but I just installed the Michelin Power Cup Evo and they are sensational in dry weather.

Things I have added:
Radiator guards
Taller Puig smoked screen (I am 6 ft tall and the original screen is too small)
M rearsets (I felt that I was too much on top of the bike and lowered it a bit)
M levers (for the look)
Eazy Grips and Evotech Crash protectors that I havenīt installed yet.
I will get a tankbag but the BMW bag doesnīt seem to be available yet.

What suspension settings do you use for your rides? 6, 6 and 6? Just curious.
I found the modes to be very handy I could program my progression of changes on my track day just those of engine braking and traction. So when building up laps and temperatures raised on tarmac I would explore those I made with more freedom.

In retrospective I should have also set the AbS to 1 because I felt when I hurried braking, probably that braking system to feed the rear entered I felt my braking was longer than it could be with just the front. Just my impression.

6, 6 and 6 was too hard for my taste. I weight 160 pounds.
I am using three settings:
4, 4, 4 hard
3, 3, 3 intermediate
2, 2, 2 for highway

Also I forgot to mention that I installed the Sprint PO8F1-85 air filter for better airflow.
