rode 2020 at Aragon - a couple issues

Hi, In May I rode the 2020 at Aragon at a race school. There were two issues that affected all the bikes (two friends went with me and had the same issue).

The first was brake chatter. The school was having an issue and couldn't get it to go away. They were trying different pads, but hadn't figured it out yet. Seemed like the rotors were warped. I have had 4 of the prior versions, and never had this issue. I thought it wasn't ready for release yet.

Also, it was impossibly difficult to get the bike to go into neutral (unless we were shifting from first to second on the track ) unless we turned off the bike.

Those two issues made me wonder if it was any better than my 2015, FWIW.

I have the same problem as finding neutral on my 2020. Its driving me nuts. From what ive read on the forum, it usually goes away after the first service when bmw does their adjustments.

My shifter is getting a little bit better with age but it can still be tricky. The shifter is quite stiff which is perfect for race boots but hard to operate in anything softer. I generally wear good ol combat boots when riding on the road but have reverted to riding boots only on the S1000 because the shifter wants positive input.

Agreed. Just adjust the cable a little bit. Mine was loose. Gentle tap from 2 to N while rolling and it goes in every time. It is not Honda simple, however, pretty easy for me. BTW, I love the hill start control when on an incline. Very cool.

I need to find out how to do this. Never had to do it on my other bikes.

I was warned I would have difficulty finding neutral but had no problem from the first ride. Sometimes I have to jiggle it a bit but really no problem.

3k miles and neutral is still hard to find BUT ONLY when at high temps (stop an go traffic) not one issue otherwise.
