THIS is an interesting comment. How did you come by this information?

Someone with more than 3 months riding experience going through a midlife crisis that can convey unbiased pros and cons of the bike. Hey, you don't have to like the bike but give a real report of the turn-in, the brakes, acceleration, how user-friendly is the display, and some of the TC/ABS features.
Thats exactly what I thought too 3 months!! dude has no clue how to ride. probably didnt even twist any rpm to get in the sweet spot

Well, I can tell you that I recently called most mayor dealers in the Los Angeles area and San Francisco and they average about 5 individuals on the waiting list for the M.

And that was just it. I could not believe the hype so I called about 5 dealerships (4 in LA & 1 in SF) to see if I could find me a #1 spot with no luck.

Now, if you have some intel that proves otherwise, I'll be all ears (hopefully within CA).

Note: unless I missread your "sold out for the first allotment" comment, which I took as the first wave of M S1KRRs (and not the entire 2019 production #s)

Just got my full VIN. Dealer seems to think that means BMW will be releasing the bikes soon, as they could only get a partial VIN before. Let's hope. I emailed to BMW 388 for him to run, however, it fits in the narrow batch of bikes he previously mentioned.

From what I've heard from the manager of a large BMW dealer is that no dealer regardless of the population or sales factor is getting more than 5 units. In fact most are getting less than 5, Luckily I got on the list with a 5 allocation dealer at #4.

My dealer is only getting 2( 1=///M 1=Red) lucky me I'm #1 for the ///M. From what I understand it all depends on unit's you moved last year(bikes sold). That's what was said months ago but not 100% certain as I'm just a rider with no inside connection.

Aren't you waiting on your leg to heal?

I'd suggest waiting until you can demo a bike before buying another.
