I expect those who experienced veering, vibration issues and/or too much heat will complain just as before.

Unfortunately, BMW is unable to upgrade the warmware between the grips and the seat.

When will you have one available for you to test ride?

I am additionally curious as to how the torque feels.

Do you know specifically as to how BMW's shiftcam works?

I like what I see so far. But for some reason I keep thinking of an Orca whenever I look at the front fairing and one headlight from an angle.

We're all entitled to our opinions, but I've never understood this mentality. Common with alot of members here concerning anything to do with aesthetics. How often do you hear exotic car owners say, "she might be ugly, but shes fast..." You dont. It's almost as if BMW has trained us to accept mediocre looks as long as shes a performer.

I'll be buying either the V4 S or the M edition after ride reviews start appearing. Whichever handles itself better around a track, will be the bike I buy.

That is, it does not really matter what it looks like as long as its fast.

@Elk I won't be riding one most likely till next year. The shift cam works basically by using a solenoid motor with a pin that can engage either a small cam lobe or large cam lobe. The intake cams use 2 cam lobes for each valve. It is also slotted much like a shift drum. The small lobe being used at cruising throttle and the larger cam used at full throttle or times of full load. One inlet valve is also advanced. Opening one before the other creates a vortex inside the cylinder to more efficiently burn the fuel mixture.

@BTB I will be getting the full spec version including M pack and carbon wheels.

I may also let you guys know that we will be getting RDC (tyre pressure monitoring) as an option. Much like HSC (hill start control) some say its not needed. But it is offered. Maybe this was already communicated I can't remember.

The engine is definitely the counter rotating crank set up.

Modes are Rain, Sport, Dynamic (this is RACE on the current bikes) and Race (this is SLICK on the current bikes). Ride modes pro adds another 3 completely customizable modes.

DTC is indeed audible from what I know via an ignition cut. Will need to double check. Currently we shut throttle bodies hence the jerk. The ignition cut on the HP4 is literally seamless. It makes the current DTC feel so jerky. Practically 0 drive hindrance.

TFT will integrate with your phone using the BMW Motorrad app. You have bluetooth to your phone for calls, phone book etc. You have bluetooth to your helmet com system. You also have turn by turn navigation on the dash using your phone. This is not a graphic map only turn by turn. The BMW NAV still remains the main GPS system. You also have music available through the dash from your phone.

Scroll wheel on the left operates this. Same as other models.

Clutch cable moved to right hand side.

Water pump moved to left.

All new M accessories like rearsets and levers etc.

New boots, gloves and suit coming.

I will post wheel weights soon. 3 variants. Someone already mentioned though I think.

Probably tons of other stuff I need to go have a read when I'm back at work. Currently on a riding holiday. See I look after you guys! Working on my holidays!
