Nothing that I have heard since has said with any authority that this will not be true.
I suspect you are correct. "I heard my dealer suggest otherwise" is unconvincing. In any event, we will know soon.

MCN did a nice video update on their long term V4, they also complain about the heat issues. Nice trip they did:

@DarenLine You should wait. Even current model owners will want to upgrade. I'm not blowing this into something it won't be. If I was chasing sales I would be pushing the current model. The fact is that everyone knows something is coming so of course they will wait.

Benny, some of your comments really get my mind racing.

While nothing in these comments is particularly new, (effectively the same message as "game changer") your unapologetic conviction coupled with your involvement at BMW Motorrad makes such claims exponentially more intriguing.

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but they evoke imagery of men psychologically justifying the astronomical loss in depreciation from selling their 1 year old machines, because its successor is THAT formidable. It really paints a picture of something so revolutionary that the financial loss is not only bearable, but acceptable. For all demographics, not just the affluent.

Far reaching speculation such as electric motors, carbon frames, and exotic materials such as pixie dust and unicorn farts all the sudden seem plausible.

Call me weird, but while I'm INTERESTED, at this point there's no way I'm going to upgrade. I already love my '15, and with a shortly pending house build/purchase, a spiffy new '19 is out of the cards. In fact, instead of getting a '19, the next new bike I'm getting will be a KTM 790 Adventure R to do a bunch of ADV riding here in NM and in other states. I thought about it and I can have way more fun on 2 different awesome bikes verses only one MORE awesome bike.

I hope it's as awesome as everyone else hopes it is though!
