Fortunately one does not look at the bike when riding.
I also dislike the huge boy-racer RR graphics, but I know others find them appealing; I do not enjoy "look at me!" For me, they are one step away from neon under-lighting. But others like that, too.

As soon as its public. I will be writing you all a post about the bike. After all, I will have had time to study in length the details and also ride it. I've ridden the HP4 and am looking forward to comparing the new RR to it. I have compared the current RR to it so will be good to see what improvements have been made. The HP4 allows much comparisons to be made when ridden back to back on the same track. Damn surprising the difference. My forum contributions have dropped off lately as everything has reached a plateau. Nothing much to discuss other than replying to technical queries every now and then. The new bike will fuel the fire. Again, I'll be here to help out with the new bike and any issues that arise.

Straight outta Cologne, just in........."I am currently walking on the BMW-stand (if that’s the correct word...) for tomorrow’s press day and there’s no new S1000 RR to see, but a few actual models...so I’d be surprised even more if they presented it tomorrow".............But there were still a few actual S1000 RR, a WSBK S1000, a LOT of R1250 RT and GS, a few heritage models, even F800 R and GT, K1600...nearly the whole range. But I think the F850 GS Adventure will be shown as well and maybe one surprise (the Cruiser maybe?)........Yep. The BMW press brunch will be at 11.30 European time. Then we’ll see what’s what.
