A farewell

Hello all,

I just wanted to thank everyone in the community for just being plain awesome. I have learned a lot over the last three years from every one of you. The joy this motorcycle brings me is something I cannot describe. Unfortunately, parenthood comes with sacrifice. I tried to hold onto my bike as long as possible but I will be looking to sell it on Saturday to free up debt.

So thank you again everyone, I had a blast hanging with some of the FW crew back when Russian was around, going to cars & coffee at the BMW dealer, doing the dyno day, seeing a NOS s1000rr destroy rubber, etc... When I have some spare money, i'll be back

PS. If anyone has some tips on selling the bike, I am going to the dealer I bought it from just to see how much they are willing to give me. If its a crap offer, I will be trying to sell it myself (not sure how to do this when I don't have the title).

Thanks again!

-MW

We all have responsibilities and priorities.

Family comes first.

As for selling the bike without the title, just make sure you mention it in any ad or anyone looking to buy it. It can sometimes be a hassle depending on if the buyer is going to finance it through their bank. Especially if it isn't a local sale. The banks typically want the title in hand before they loan you the money. By that same token if I were to show up with cash in hand then I would want the title when I leave. Usually, the seller and buyer will meet at the financial institution where the bike is financed and do all of the paperwork there. That way the buyer will have paperwork from the bank showing that the lien has been released and retitled in the buyers name. If it isn't financed locally then it becomes more of an issue.

Those are are the experiences I have encountered in the past.

Hope it all works out for you.

You will be back. Dealers really low ball on purchasing bikes. I would list on this forum, Craigslist , and eBay classifieds is free. Price is good and you shouldn't have problems selling it this time of year.

I forgot to say. I am glad to see you put your family first. Without family the rest of life isn't any fun
