I just bought a 2016 with 2500 miles and all options, as well as dealer installed Akra slipon and BMW Sport screen for $8500. Bike is in showroom condition literally minus the tires which had literally 3" chicken strips on both sides (how is that even possible)

I've got a '15RR with 18,100-ish miles, and the only problem I had was dust in the dash, which they replaced under warranty.
Don't believe what you hear about "engine problems", they are few and far between. The '17's and later have the ginormous catbox, and reduced performance due to the euro 4 emissions.

Look at the line from the mold release going across the tire. When that part of the tire gets used, it gets rubbed off

In my experience, the 2015 is the best of the current generation.
