More details - how many miles on the bike, how long since last oil change, what kind of oil, and lastly, have you missed a few shifts?

Always had Bmw do the oil change. The light came on so assuming 6k miles. They set it. It was a little low on oil when I lifted it up. Bike has 37,500 miles on it. I've missed a few in quick shift mode. But nothing out of the normal.

Shavings are ok. Chunks are no good.

See link for more info.

While I usually see a good amount of shavings, the size you are seeing would worry me a bit. Those are rather chunky.

Looks like gear teeth coming apart at gear tooth face. Not good. I would be concerned if it were mine. Definitly not normal.

That's why I was asking if he missed any shifts. Does look like transmission gear parts.
