Default New SPOT GPS Messenger!!!

We just became dealers of the new SPOT GPS Messenger! We are excited about this product because it will help you stay connected with people when you go on your rides and serves as a very useful tool for fast emergency response in case of an unfortunate accident or situation, especially when cell phone coverage is not available!

In most places, the best twisty roads are out in relatively remote areas that have no cellphone reception, if you happen crash and get hurt, or even just break down or run out of gas, you wouldn't be able to call for help! With the SPOT you would have no problem reaching help, since it tracks you position by satellite, also they would know exactly where to find you.

Have a look at these two stories which involved motorcycle accidents and how SPOT helped save them:

Story 1

Story 2

A bit more about SPOT:

The SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger represents the next generation of personal satellite messaging and emergency communications by providing enhanced GPS performance in a smaller and lighter form.

The SPOT satellite GPS messenger is 30% smaller and 30% lighter than the original SPOT device and provides enhanced performance and a vital line of communication with friends and family when you want it, and emergency assistance when you need it. Using 100% satellite technology, SPOT works virtually anywhere in the world, even where cell phones don’t – all with the push of a button.

Ideal for backcountry sportriding and touring, dirt bike riding, ATV riding, or snowmobiling, be safe on the roads and trails with the SPOT satellite GPS messenger.

With the Spot you can also share your progress with friends, family and the world at Spot Adventures! You can also browse other peoples adventures and get some inspiration to plan a future ride.

This should be a great little gadget to convince the wife or family to get you so they can see where you are on your rides and know you are safe. It can also give you peace of mind that you can call for help at any time regardless of where you are. if you guys have any more questions about the product please PM me.

Thanks!

Does SPOT or any other similar device/service provide the ability for an at-home user to check the GPS device's location without the device's user first sending it?

EDIT: Nevermind. Answered my own question after doing some more digging. SPOT's additional services, "Tracking Progress": http://www.findmespot.com/en/index.php?cid=110
