Default front lights

i did try to use the search function, but, didn't come up with anything.

I know from my K bikes, there are ways to turn off your front light:

Turn the key on. Hold the cancel button for 4 seconds, then hold the right turn signal for 2. You'll know you're getting it right when the turn signal doesn't start to immediately flash. Headlight goes off. At least, that's how it's done on the K1200R.

anyone got any ideas?

Haven't heard of anyone on here turning off the front lights in such a manner... only by pulling a fuse...

Pull the fuse. This one is only half Canbus.
Which one? You can find it in your Rider's Manual.

P.S. No tricky switch combos that I know of. Bueller?

i did not used race fairing, so, i still have stock fairing, and plus, more adhesive material just creates lots of stickiness on the headlights, thought turning them off would help not create too much heat within.

I found it from another forum, FYI

Hold the turn signal in the cancel position for about an 8 count then hold it to the right turn position for another 8 count and it will go out until you hit the head light switch or re start the bike. Takes a little practice. You know you are on the right track then the right blinker does not go on.

these track inspector some time advised me to double tape my lights because, the lights seems to penetrate through the tape. i just thought turning them off would be a good idea.

and i remember i could do that on K bikes, and thought if anyone would know.

Is this on the K bikes or the S1?

Well, I tried the 8 count trick (8 count on cancel and 8 on right turn) and nothing changed for me. Maybe the count is wrong, or I missed something? My guess is that you can't turn the headlights off in this manner on our bikes.
