Default Accident at Barber, with good results

First session at Barber last weekend, entering T1, when this pretty significant accident happened. The amazing this is that he walked away! with nothing more than a injured wrist.

Looks like the bike came close to landing on him.

What happened. Looks like the front brake locked up? and flipped?

i would think that would be more of a right hand issue, than a front brake issue. the brakes worked fine! lol. from what i can see, he tried to late brake, likely being frusterated behind people he is faster than, and went tits up.

I was in that session...barely in front of the bike that almost got taken down by the bike that shot out of nowhere like a laser guided missile. I heard the sound of metal against pavement through my earplug and helmet and thought someone's either dragging a body part or crashing. By the time I got around that turn to the next hairpin turn, the red flag was out. It wasn't until I came home and watched this video posted on you tube that I realized what a freakish accident that was and how much worse it could have been. Note to self: Do not grab brakes. Smooth is key!

Note to OP: Hey...don't mean to hijack the thread, but were you on your S1000RR at Barber this past weekend? I was on mine and if I'm not mistaken, we chased each other down several times. Or was that someone else?
