could you keep the front end down coming out of T5 going into and through the esses? I about ran off the right side of the track a few times when the front went airborne...
Oh, I wasn't there for this, I was there last weekend for the races... What kind of times did you manage? How did the bike handle? I worked towards putting it on it's nose more.

Bike Handles great, thermosman took care of that. Best lap 1:47 (don't laugh), a personal best for me on the north course. Getting better every trackday.
my entry speed into T1 and T7, need improvement, more practice needed.

Nice! It was my first time on the track and a race weekend to boot. A lot of turns to remember!!! T-man was helping me too, he is the bomb! T1 was a bit slick so be weary of it and T7 G's you out but it can be taken rather quickly...just don't have the engine all bound up otherwise you won't be able to turn it at the top... A lot of speed to be had coming down the hill(roller coaster/hog pin?) I made a lot of passes there! Such a narrow track, it gets physical easily...bumped a guy or two while passing...
Better to work up to fast instead of outrunning it to the gravel trap!!!
Besides, I have to go to work and pay a mortgage, can't be balls to the wall like some of the young'uns...
The fastest lap at the race was a 1.27.3....by garret gerloff on a R6. Yeah, it hurt my feelings a bit too.

Thing to be wary of on the North Course is T1 is off camber. Got to get the breaking done before the turn, and then work the throttle. The esses (5-6) start with a clean entry into 4, and hold the exit of the corner to make 5 a continuous radius, steady on the gas rolling hard to the edge of 6. Brake hard into 7 and hold to the inside to straighten 7-8 and head to the roller coaster. Can't help you there because I am having issues through there. Through to the 17s and hard on the gas, cutting inside through the kink and straight over pit out line.
North Course is pretty chassis friendly as a lot of the turns have camber. But a few (1 and 7) have pretty negative camber. If you are making good time in all other areas, just clear these corners and focus on the other areas.

when you setup for T1 are you center track or to the left? After watching control riders and other faster guys, i think my setup for one is incorrect. i usually setup far left and then turn in.

On my 600 I favor more to the center of the track, but because of the speed on the 1000 I go to left edge and turn in late and hard.

What kind of times are you hitting? I turned a 1.34.4 which I was ok with being my first time on track... I'd expect a 1.30-1.32 next time up there now that I know which way the track actually goes....

On which course? I haven't timed North Course in a while, but I'll be running it Monday. No way I'm in the 1:30 range though.
