me too, but those damned tires are going to be eaten up by the 10th lap and then ******* Biaggi will make the pass. But maybe BMWs getting closer to a setup that doesn't kill tires, and with young and hungry riders like Haslam and Badovini....who knows?

And Checa had an off day, but if he's on, on race day...no factory support my ass. That's no privateer 1098R under those fairings, no way.

Come on Haslam. He just needs to do it again in Superpole today.

"Leon Haslam (BMW Motorrad Motorsport) put in a superhuman effort on his last flying lap around Monza to take the provisional pole slot away from Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team) at the end of Q1 with a time of 1 minute 42.934 seconds. The gap between the two was just 0.019 seconds in favour of Haslam, but Biaggi was able to set a new record top speed of 332.5 km/h down the long Monza straights.

Third fastest time went to Eugene Laverty (Yamaha World Superbike Team) who got the better of an impressive Ayrton Badovini (BMW Motorrad Italia SBK Team), the 2010 Superstock 1000 champion entirely in tune with the Monza track. Jonathan Rea followed up his morning form with fifth slot for Castrol Honda, while Noriyuki Haga did a good job for the PATA Racing Team Aprilia to get in front of Marco Melandri (Yamaha World Superbike Team).

Championship leader Carlos Checa (Althea Racing Ducati) for the moment is still off the pace of the frontrunners and is languishing down in 14th place for the moment."

Is the Superpole on Eurosport today? Looked for it on Sky TV last night and didn't see anything. I was hoping to record it since I was going to be out today.
