Not until they recently took over Dunlop race tire distribution for the west coast. So far, I've bought 3-4 sets of tires through them and have had no issues whatsoever with their service.

Recieved one tire that had a defect in the tread surface and they gladly swapped it for me.

As it turns out, they're on my way to my local track and the defect was found kinda last minute. I called and asked how late they would be open. I wanted to stop by on the way out. They close at like 4 on Friday. But when I said I wasn't sure I could make it down in time, the guy I was talking to quickly and proactively offered to stay late. In his words, "we messed up and we need to get you sqaured."

A+ on attitude.

I had a lot of their stuff when I was racing in 90s. Top notch quality & service & phone friendly.

Then you are very lucky!

I placed a $6,000 order with them 3 weeks ago and got treated like a P.O.S,

they messes up my order and sold me 3 extra fronts and not enough rears and never sent me a purchase order to inspect (until i email and asked for one yesterday) and when I called to see if we could make my order right (mind you there still sitting on 10 sets of my paid for front tires, when I only needed 7 sets) and all they would have had to do is take 3 fronts out of the box and put one rear in it. I got told by Rick " this is turing into a pain in the ass if you don't want these tires why don't I just cancel your order and i'll reimburse you,

this would leave me sitting on 16 rear slicks with no fronts! I had to to say "ok i'll pay for them"

so then I order one more rear tire, he then charged me FULL msrp (I should note if you order 25 or more tires you get a dealers price) I was afraid to say anything at that point that would upset him further due to the fact I felt like if I would have he would have refused to send me my fronts (so I paid it)

then I find out one of my rear tires was lost in shipping I called Erion and "Kevin Erion" told be it's not his fault I need to call the shipping company and deal with it myself, they {the shipping company)told me only the originator can file the claim

This has been the most horrible experience with a company I have ever had in my life I'm sincere when I say I feel I was robed!

I have never been robbed by gunpoint this is what it must feel like.......

all said and done 6000 worth of tires cost me 7000 I truly do feel sick and will never deal with Erion again, I have run Dunlop for the last 10 years and they have been the finest tire on the market but I can not do business with a company that would let someone like Kevin Erion represent them

I've known Kevin for quite a few years and always found him to be a man who would stand behind his work at Erion Racing. No experience with him as a tire salesman, and I don't know who Rick is, but from trying to decode your narrative it sounds like there was some bad communication going on from the start, and it went downhill from there.

You've just had some dealings with Dan Kyle, talk to him about Kevin. He worked closely with Kevin in the 90's and could give you his experience with the man. If I were you I'd calm down, collect your thoughts, organize your facts and receipts, and give Kevin a call again to see if this can be dealt with.

UMMM yeaaaah no dude they robbed me!

I was blackmailed into buying 3 extra fronts more then I order because they ****ed up

my choices
A) buy the 10 that were in the boxes
or
B) cancel my order and have 16 rear slick that I can use as door stops!

these guys are crooks! plain and simple

Well, Dude,

How you choose to deal with people is your business of course. Kevin and his brother have been in the commercial motorcycle world since the late 70's, and are still in businesses, separately, with reputations intact. Consider that before you accuse Kevin of being a crook. I've put in my thoughts, which you asked for in the original post, Kevin doesn't need me to speak for him.

I did call to get it sorted and got yelled at by them then backed into a corner that cost me over $1000 more, how is that good business practice?

I'm glad you have had good delings with them I wish I would have. in 10 years I have spent close to 100k with Dunlop I thought I was a good customer......

Trust me I did not loose my cool after Rick yelled and threatened me, I went so far as to say: "I think it would be best if I called you back tomorrow so I don't say anything I may regret" never once was I unreasonable or inconsiderate with them.

and Kevin and his brother may be great people but I was treated horribly.... and all I can speak to is that.
