Keith's bike description gives us a good rundown of the kind of goodies that make a winning machine. (Well, except for the rider, of course).

FOR SALE Keith Amor's BMW S1000RR. Comes with full titanium Leo Vince exhaust system, BMW factory replica bodywork, Pazzo levers, Ohlins 30mm Andriani cartridge kit, re-valved Ohlins shock, WSB-spec Ohlins steering damper; brand new clutch, ECU programmed by BMW Germany with 2011-spec software with 4 levels of traction control and pitlane speed limiter; Renthal ultralight sprockets, Regina chain, HEL brake lines and SBS race pads;GB Racing engine covers and Bonamici rear sets. The bike's last outing was a winning one at the Dundrod 150 Superbike race at the Ulster GP this year, is in excellent condition and has never been crashed.

I'm especially intrigued by the factory ECU re-programming. Considering all the aftermarket bits on it, the bike's price (about $22,000) isn't that bad.

Keith Amor -- the Scotsman who beat 'em all in the North West 200 Superstock road race this year on his S1000RR, was on Manx Radio last night with news that he'll be John McGuinness' Honda teammate next year. We can hope he'll be campaigning another Beemer next year, too. I wish him well no matter what, though.

Keith Amor was not even close to competitive, it was just after he got the S1000RR that he could make up time and be up there with the front runners. So... props to BMW for making a TT worthy bike that will turn a rather maduiocre rider into a fast rider by just changing the bike. He was not even close to Mcinness last year but now with a BMW McGuinness is rigth on his sights. BMW has built an amazing machine that is competiive at the IOM TT. Nuff said...

Totally 110% disagree with this. Keith was FAST on Wilson Craig's fireblades and CBR600's, regularly giving Mr Farquhar what on the nationals in Ireland. The BMW was a complete unknown quantity this year and he rode the wheels of the thing. If it was the bike alone, Paul Shoesmith would have been top 10 don't you think? Penzkof was another on the BMW and where did he finish?
He was on a PRIVATE entry BMW not a full factory supported version.

It's not just the bike that makes a fast time.
