Default Snetterton - Pics & HD Video

Weather was great, although very windy on the back straight, was hanging off my head to keep it straight most laps. Got some GoPro of the last session although to be honest I was absolutely knackered and my lap times had slipped a bit, much more demanding than Brands. Standard of riding was good, good atmosphere in paddock also.

Got a load of instruction from a tutor called David Taylor who sharpened up my lines and body position. Here's some shots from earlier in the day, before I learnt to hang my head right off the bike.

Vid is HD, if you're wondering speed, lap times around 1.27, think my best was around 1.25 a couple of sessions before under tuition, and top speed I hit on the straight around 165 (speedo taped). My tired hands vs. wind blast was making it an effort to reach the brake lever by this point.

I was there that day also, but didn't race.

Your times are way better than mine .

Like the vids! Must get myself one of those cameras. I was at Snet last week and was stuck around 1 28. Had a real problem with the corner before the main straight and couldn't figure out how to enter the straight with any sort fo speed, drove me nuts all day! My GSXR mate was doing 1 25 all day, git.

Looks like you were enjoying yourself

You'll find a mass of time if you learn how to brake harder

Take a bigger squirt on the throttle from previous corner(Riches)forcing you to turn later.Push the bike to the apex with counter steer, pick the bike up and use the traction control and fire out.You should see a comfortable 168-170 before you brake at the other end!

By the way,my best lap so far on my s1000 is 1:15.3,hopefully more to come.
I am hoping to get a video at Snet next time Thursday 23rd if the camera people are there, although I don't think they do MSV events and unfortunately there are no more trackdays there this year

How does that compare with superstock times?

Yeah, but I'm just a mere mortal on my road bike which I don't want to bend,on road tyres, gearing etc and only the second time the bike has been on track (and I'm twice their age!)
