it's been a long time coming, finally here

but what's unusual about this Superpole is that, unlike every other one, he's a full half second faster than #2...usually, the first 10 spots on the grid are like all within a half second of each other.

Assuming a good launch, we should see Corser easily take the holeshot - he's done it from the second row several times.

Then...will the tires hold out??

Nice . I think he'll drop 4-5 spots after the start. Hopefully he gets the hole shot and keeps his lead to prove me wrong.

3rd place. Very close race. Bodovini made it 5 from 5 though. He is leading by 59 points. Corser into 6th place in the SBK. Race 2 to come. He was bitching say he mae a mistake twice which let the other through. I was very close .3 of a sec between 1-3.

led for most of the race, that was impressive for sure! Second podium of the season; BMW is on target with their goals - 2010, get some podiums and perhaps poles, then start aiming for the championship in 2011. Xaus is going to be canned for sure; I do wonder if the Marco Melandri rumors will turn out to be fact. He is very much off then on again. I'd pick Rossi of course to spearhead a WSBK championship effort to prepare for BMW's entry into MotoGP in 2012. But Rossi got offered 15 million euros for a Ducati ride, although he insists on staying with Yamaha...dang.

Race 2 isn't going as well; he was leading, then just freaking let everyone pass him at once So far he's holding off Checa to stay in 5th...barely. Corser will have to make up half a second in 7 laps to take the podium again, and neither Crutchlow nor Fabrizio is easy to pass. Biaggi is going to take the double win, and I think the championship is going to go to that little bastard.

3rd and 10th. I bet Corser wins one yet though before this season is over, maybe more than once. Damn close in the first rcae. Troy is a great racer. I saw him in 1994 at Daytona. Won the AMA champonship that year on a Ducati.

failure? what exactly went wrong? couldn't have been a total failure, he still managed to finish. But what a time to lose power - holding off Checa on the last lap!
