made it to Fontana from Iowa to ride with Fast Tracks on Jan. 6-7th. It's been 2 years since I was on the track and I had some things to finish before I made it on track and one was SETUP... rather than do it myself I paid the $40 to have a guy from Yosh do it in 15min... I never touched it again as it was on rails all weekend. I just had to get used to the bike and it's speed. started out in slick mode and after talking to some people I found race mode was much better. Slick mode was way too twitchy for me learning a new track and twitchy is a great way to low side. The contis were new to me since I always rode Pirellis but I had ZERO complaints.. they never wiggled but my left side tire after 2 days was gone which tells me I was very hard on the gas on exit so my corner speed was a little slow.. that and it's left hand dominant. I was very pleased with the overall performance of the bike.. Im glad I spent the money on all the parts it needs.. it seriously was very easy to ride suspension wise. I ran 1:44 and I feel if I had more time on the bike 1:30s would be achieved.. not bad after 2 years. top times were low to mid 1:30s except for Steve Rapp who ran 1:29.. but Jake Zemke was running 1:40s so Im pleased. Its hard to get my brain back up to speed as this thing is a rocket.
