Pit Bull Steering Damper GROUP BUY! Top mount adjustability and lifetime warranty!
Word on the street (and track) is that you guys have some interest in an aftermarket option for your stock damper. Pit Bull has answered this with a one time group buy offer for their amazing no drill top mount damper. This kit is not currently in production but the folks at Pit Bull will get one rolling if there is enough interest. Here's the proposition:
5 preorders sends production into full swing and gets you the kit for $425
10 preorders will knock it down to $399
Shipping is free in the US and we will ship internationally for $30.
Why buy a damper when your bike already comes with one? That's easy...
No drilling required, these kits bolt right up
Top mount location for on the fly adjustments
19 different settings to dial in your exact amount of control
Special valving for instant-on hydraulics without freeplay
LIFETIME warranty on the unit. No B.S.
FREE rebuilds every 2 years. Keep your valving and fluid fresh

Speaking from personal experience, Pitbull Dampers are one of the best units around.
I really like the adjust on the fly knob, which can be done while ridding in one simple motion. Most other types, you typically need to at least stop and adjust and some are, stop, dismount and then adjust.
Hope you all take advantage of this special offer.

You don't have too, but I would if it were my bike, no need to have a great damper and a crapping damper "trying" work in tandem.
On a side note, free lifetime warranty and free service every two years is pretty outstanding service. I've always been a big fan of this company.

agreed, there's bigtime value in the warranty and rebuilds. a lot of people don't realize their dampers need to be maintained like all the other stuff on the bike (says the guy with 3 year old fluid in his damper)

How does this unit mount on the S1000RR?
Does the top nut for the upper triple clamp need to be removed and the damper or part of it is put under that nut? With another brand top mount damper this doesn't really appeal to me as there is not much thread left for the nut to be torqued back down (with an additional component now underneath it).
Just wondering as the above photos are not S1000RRs.
Thanks.

I've heard 3 weeks to get all the units completed.

I hear it's just like the R6 video in the 1st post, which is steering nut stays in place and damper hovers above.

Wasn't talking about the initial builds... the actual rebuilds down the road when you want to get the seals redone, oil changed out, serviced etc.
