Default LA area has "Stop sign" cameras now.

These aren't the ones at the red light cameras, these are new ones that are after the rolling stop abusers.

Wonder if the oft rolling stops done by motorcyclists (okay, the moto cops too) would trip them? I got preached about stopping for maybe 10 seconds with your foot down in Nevada else the cop would chase me down. Woman was right. He did, but he came up with another reason to do it.

All You have to do is stop! no time limit on how long you have to sit there. I am sure almost all of us can come to a stop without putting your foot down. That really does suck next thing will be stop signs with how long you have to stop!!

That's where the "cops in cars" will get you: "No foot down = No complete stop" in their mindset law book.

Moto cops are another matter as they rarely put a foot down at a stop unless it is a blazing red light with flowing traffic. But they can get away with it too.

I think I'll ride in the gutter to avoid the sensor on right turns if this is the new game plan.

They already have, the drivers handbook says 3 seconds. Though I couldn't find any actual law that states this requirement.

I just moved to socal from Texas and part of the MSF required skills to pass the course was stopping, pause 1 second, then continue without putting a foot down. They explicitly stated this can be used at stop signs were you know you don't have to wait for any other traffic. Be interested to know if the MSF course in Cali is the same.
