Lonely in Augusta, GA
Somebody please tell me that I'm not still the only chica in this town to be rollin' one of these puppies. Do I have to ride all the way to freakin' Atlanta to meet other S1000RR owners to go riding with?
Come on Augusta! Trade in those damn Gixxers already!
In the meantime I do my best to represent.

I know I was the first girl in the greater Atlanta area to buy one. It looks like I'm still the only person owning one in the Augusta area... the thing is a rockstar, positively a dude magnet. ROFL
I haven't done any track days on my own yet, although I did just kick some serious ass in the Kevin Schwantz school at Barber this June. I was the only girl there, so I had to do my best not to set females back 50 years. I'm wanting to go to Road Atlanta, because T12 has my name ALL OVER it. *giggles madly* However, I still need to get a few essentials before I can hit the track and I'm flat broke at the moment.

Charlotte's Web (T6) and the Museum Corner (T8-9) Woooohoooooo!!!! Yeah, baby! Bring a change of underwear. My favorite two turns in Barber. Take the shortcut across the left-hand curb between T8 and 9, so you can get tight in the bottom of T9 and haul ass out of there. \m/ Oh, and you'll never really get out of third (on the S I doubt you'll ever use fourth)... beautiful track, lots of elevation changes and T3 will positively put you to sleep it's so dang loooooong. You'll love Barber, it's technically challenging (IMHO) and a ton of fun!

*wipes tears from her eyes* I really don't know what to say to THAT! In addition to the passes, do I get to slap a sticker on your ride? No. Wait.... I do know what to say: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Now, tell me you were kidding, so I can restore my faith in ... ah nevermind, too late. You're either whoring yourself for some girl's m/c engine or you think I'm a track slag who would actually throw the heart of her S at the chance to hang out with some dude in the pits? *tsk tsk*

Congrats on the S1KRR.
I would be interested in your impression of the Kevin Swantz school at Barber, as I want to do the same. I know its a bit pricey but I'm sure its worth it. Sounds like you took your own bike, yes? How many days was it?

I loved it! Learned a ton! Unlearned some bad habits I acquired riding my Hayabusa. And finally got to iron out a few riding kinks that have crept in and have been annoying me. I really do need to blog about it, but haven't really had the time (nor the inclination... too much work, not enough play ) However, it is a Suzuki/Honda school, so I rented theirs and got to ride the GSX-R600 and the CBR600RR. Not one of the students in my class (I think there was 27 of us, split into two groups) brought their own ride, everybody rented. And the way those tires looked at the end of Day 1... I'd say it's cheaper to rent in rubber alone.
