Default Drop Sensor TEST

Shouldn't the bike shut-off if I were to un-clip the drop sensor from it's mount and turn it on it's side?

the operation is probably more complicated than that, being that BMW designed it. give it a shot.

Yes.... if you remove it from it's perch and flip it 90* to the side it should turn off. The BMW tech and I tested mine once they installed it... did just that and it turned off. Cycle the off switch to off, started back up... then tipped it the other way - shut right off.

Do you know for sure that it worked originally? Maybe the dealer thought they programmed it correctly but didn't

It was installed as the recall. I'll check with them tomorrow to make sure they did the update.

Can someone post a photo of where this drop sensor is located? Want to check if I've got one.

All is good, my dealer had to retrofit the CIP.

The proper way to test the unit is take it out of it's pearch and flip it on it's side while the bike is running. Make sure it operates in both directions.

Lowsides work well too. Seems the bike don't like to lean in rain mode. Lol
