Pops into neutral...
Why whenever I go over a decent bump, does the bike jump into neutral? I've never experienced this with any of my other bikes. I'm not freaked out, just curious. I've looked all over the bike and nothing seems to make sense. Any thoughts?

Only time I've had a bike slip into nuetral is when I've pussyfooted the last gear shift... If you know that's not happening, I'd pay a visit to the dealer. Twist to that is... they're gonna need to duplicate the issue, so make sure it happens enough. They might go out on a limb and pull it apart based on your word, but many seem to not.

Lol I definitely make sure it's in gear. If anything, I've always been a little rough pounding through my gears. Guess I'll just have to be a little more careful and not try and off road this thing lol

Funny you mention that. I went out up to VT after the hurricane and some of the roads I tried to take (well let's just say when the guy on the ATV came my way and said the trail was un passable)... If you are banging gears I wonder if the linkage is out of adjustment.

I'm not sure what it is. Regular riding is fine. Naturally (and you know this) Massachusetts isn't known for it's smooth roads. It's happen twice now, once on 128 leaving GBM heading towards 3 and today down here on cape. I hit a little dip in the road and the bump is enough to pop me up off my seat and the bike pops into N. Guess I should try slowing down and watching the road more carefully lol

My .02 will sound dumb but, I must tell you what I have experianced.
When I wear my steel toed work boots and loft the front wheel, I will
unintentionally upshift. Sometimes scares the hell out of me. This bike shifts much easier than my CBR's. Requires a little more attention than I'm use to.
I get back on my CBR's and must be more forceful.
So, here's the question, what do you wear for boots?
Most of the time, I can't "feel" my shifter.

I always wear my sidi's. I would have considered accidently knocking it into N but when I was on the highway, I was in 5th, doing 80. I hit the bump, bike revved, I looked down and I was in N. It's only when I hit medium bumps, enough to pop me up off my seat. I wouldn't blame my rear sets cause I had the stock ones on the first time and now my attack's are on. Strange...I just can't figure this one out

I had it happen and a few other strange things when the bike was new. All seems to have settled down now and of course you seem to adapt to what type of shifting suits a bike.
The couple of times it happened, I was pretty sure I could have accidently bumped the shifter on a bumpy road. I normally ride on the balls of my feet and at the time I wasn't. You can quite easily cause it to go to a false neutral on purpose if you try.
Once it happened when I was on the back wheel and close to balance point. That did scare me!
No problems what so ever though since about 2000ks. The aftermarket shift spring seems to be a positive for the guys who have fitted it. Maybe your bike may be one of those that would benefit.

It's habit now to ride on the balls of my feet and on the outer third of the peg. Accidentally hitting the shifter is always an option but I'm thinking it's kind of far fetched. It could just be the newness of the bike, or it could be something else. It's not a concern for me at this point but if happens more frequently, it will be brought to BMW to look into

Popping out of gear is one thing, but from 5th to neutral? Never heard of that before. Sounds like the dealer needs to take a look inside.
