Gearbox UP-SHIFTER and map MODES
I need some help, I appreciate is somebody could help me out. My S1000RR has the Evolution open Complete Exhaust System Akrapovic working 2.500 kms very well, now my bike is 5.600 kms, few days ago the UP SHIFTER and the changing MODES in movement are not working. I took my bike to BMW dealer and the scanner only show the 2 errors because the Full System is not the original, so the BMW software tell me to install again the original system to be able to repair those two errors and them the scanner could be keep running to finally fix the UP SHIFTER and the changing MODES; what can I do to fix my Bike not installing the original exhaust system again ?, ...thank you very much and sorry for my english language, is not good, I am from Colombia, not too many S1000RR here.

Did you change levers or rearsets or make any adjustments to the quickshifter? If you did the latter, and didn't do it correctly, that could certainly be an issue. If you replaced the levers, there is a micro-switch on the clutch side that could be messing things up if it's not adjusted properly (or if it's failed) it could have these symptoms.
I'd lean towards the latter (the micro switch under the clutch lever). Does it make a small "click" sound when you pull the lever in? You have to listen very closely for it.
Oh and btw, you need to find a new dealer... they can handle that w/out you trying to put the old exhaust on - that is BS!

Yes I did change levers and rearsets, not any adjustments to the quickshifter, and yes now I remember that 'click' in the original lever, could be that micro-switch still on the standard levers ?, I will look for that micro-switch, thank you very much !! ...unfortunately the only local dealer does know nothing about this Bike, only plug the scanner...

Do you know if the stock micro switch lever (it's really tiny, takes a really tiny torque head to remove, I mean really tiny) was removed and transferred to the CRG levers?
Hope this helps,
Triple

The BMW specifies a spec for the clutch engagement point for the switch to engage/disengage of 15 - 40mm from the end of the lever to the leading edge of the handlebar weight.
This adjustment has a big influence on the shift quality with and without using the quick shifter. I found that the 40mm spec worked best on my bike.
