Default DTC light stays on?

Anyone have the DTC light stay on? After a few small ( wheelies in 2nd I noticed that the DTC light was on and could not be turned off. Same in all 4 modes. Cycled the ignition a few times, still on. Left the bike off for 30 minutes or so, it cycled through as normal, now the light is out. Checked with GS911, it says 1 fault code found 10611 Lean Angle Sensor the fault is not present now.
Maybe my wheelies were too wobbly? Didn't feel abnormal in any way.

Just saying,... get your manual out and read how to turn the DTC and ABS on and off using the button on the left handgrip.

I think its a hold and release for 2 seconds and cycles through 4 modes: Both on, both off, DTC off, ABS off.

Hope this helps. DTC light doesn't stay on just because you've done a wheelie, and it blinks rapidly when it is actively working (doing something about traction control).

When the light stays on permanently, it means you have turned the DTC off. Turn it back on.

Yes, I know how to turn it off (turn on the light). I could not turn it on (turn off the light) as I would normally. The ABS could be turned on and off as normal. Same in all modes. Yes, I have read the manual, and I know how the DTC normally works (intermittent flash during engagement) and this was something totally new to me.
After sitting for 30 minutes all is now normal. I get the feeling this software is like Windows - reboot to cure problem. I will ask the dealer about the fault code that was recorded.

Dealer won't say anything about the fault code, says it might be a different code when the hook up "their" machine. However he did say there is a bulletin about the connections from the ABS sensors to the main harness, offered to check those at the same time. But everything is OK right now, and he can't look at it until next month, so I'm just going to keep riding. Love this bike.

skapan....Did you ever have this problem again? I am having my DTC light stay on and my GS-911 is giving me codes 10611 and 10614 for the "Lean Angle Sensor". Same situation as you where the DTC works as it flashes when activated. I am trying to figure out what is going on because I'm military stationed overseas and going thru the dealer is going to be "fun". Looks like BMW labels this as the "Angular Sensor" and I found the part on MAX BMW but it is labeled as a "Speed Senor". The cost is also $632.

Thank you in advance for your help!

$632 for a sensor. I bet it's made out of diamonds.

Found the cause of my TC light staying on....4amp fuse was blown. Thank goodness it wasn't the $632 sensor. Not sure what caused the fuse to blow, but was glad when I found it, swapped it and the S1000rr was happy again. GS-911 confirms the fault codes are gone, so I am happy now. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) worked again. Should have thought to check that yesterday.

Thanks to everyone who shared possible solutions.
