Default Race pattern shift inverter

Hi, just wondering if anyone has fitted the (BMW) race pattern gearshift inverter and associated parts? On my K7 gixer 1000 it was a simple case of removing the external shift actuator and putting it back on inverted - job done! On the SK1 there are parts involved (at a cost) and I was just wondering if anyone has fitted them and how it went?

I asked about this last time I was at the dealer. They CLAIMED using the BMW voids the warranty unless you can prove 100% it will be used at the track and track alone. Something about BMW having to sign a 10 million dollar insurance policy for this item or something along those lines. Sounded like way more trouble than it was worth...or the guy could have been lying.

FYI, my local dealer told me they can't sell it, unless they obtain a license from BMW...
