Default Dynoed the bike today- S. Florida

Well, it was hot and humid today. Pulled into the shop with the bike temp reading 203 F. Nice and heat soaked. Bike sat for only about 20 minutes. Best of 3 runs was 175hp SAE, 180 STD. Was hoping for a bit better. I'm sure the motor temp didn't help. Motor is completely stock.

Hot and Humid is bad for power. I wouldn't be disappointed with those numbers considering the conditions, ESPECIALLY if it's stock.

dyno correction factor corrects for heat and humidity, thats what correction factors do. Real hot and humid, the dyno adds more to the #. Real low heat and humidity, the dyno adds less.

Its only UN corrected #s that it hurts you. Then you have the benefit of low altitude being in S Florida had they used an UN corrected #.

Almost no operator uses an UN corrected #.

That being said, your 180 STD corrected # sounds perfectly normal. You should be celebrating it if you ask me, but you seem disappointed. Your bikes power is AWESOME! Go have a BEER!!!

Where at in S. Florida did you go? I use prieto's Dyno down here and mine put down 171 as well as another member here on the forum. We were within .5hp of each other. Numbers sound spot on though nothing to be upset about.

Thanks! I was hoping for 180 SAE which is a more conservative scale than STD.

Blais Cycle. I've been going to Kevin a long time, since he's been in business. I've heard him mention Prieto many times.

You can make a dyno read whatever you want. Don't worry about it. Dynos are good for evaluating changes and tuning...but don't worry about the number unless someone else puts a bike on right after yours, same spec....that pulls 15 more hp.
