Default GS-911 Diagnostic tool

Hi Forum..

Long story/short!

One week ago i received my GS-911 usb pro tool, but found out that it is a china copy...

I did not see that when i ordered... Problem now is... i can’t return it, and i need future updates... what do i do? The tool cost me 300$ so sad to put it in the bin... (That might be the only thing I can do)

Is it possible to get future updates when the tool is not genuine? (I can’t get updates from hexcode site) It works on the bike know, but I need the beta release 1103+1106 and future releases to work on the bike.

Cheers
René

huh I also thought they where made in China, but developed in South Africa by Hexcode.
I've checked mine, but there is nowhere stated where these units are made or assembled. But I guess China/Thailand/Malaysia or even Indonesia.

Yes... they are china made...

But after buy, i found out that software updates and beta releases is not prowided if you do not buy from one of hexcode's sellers/store..
this one has software 1006.3.0.0, and the new beta is 1106 (more ABS and rev. functions)

This must be a china copy, of a china product.. i'll return it, and hope that i'll get my money back...

this is the store. http://www.ecutool.com/

Also as I remember the unit will only work with up to 10 bikes, if you haven't bought the "professional" ones..

As far as diagnostics, either unit will work with an unlimited number of bikes. It's only to change the date on the bike and/or the service reminder that you need to "enroll" the bike, and that is limited to 10 VIN numbers. But you can always upgrade if the need arises.

Hi René,

I read your article with interest and I'm sorry to hear someone sold you a Chinese clone of the GS-911.

I am an official GS-911 distributor in Europe (but I don't want to use this forum for advertisements).

The GS-911 is not made in China. The complete development and production is "made in South-Africa".

All the official distributors are listed on the Hexcode site.

And you can buy an original GS-911 USB Enthousiast for less then 300 EUR.

Best regards,

Jos
