Default Difference in peak HP with slick mode plug installed

I was just reading the 2011 super bike shootout in the latest Australian Rapid Bike mag (#66, 2011) and found an interesting tidbit of info.
They dyno'd the S1K back to back with and without the slick mode plug installed and found that with the plug installed, the bike made 4 more peak HP...I don't know what gear it was in, but I was under the impression that in sport, race and slick modes there wasn't meant to be any difference in peak HP?
As a matter of interest, the BM came out on top against the 1198SP, Gixxer thou, R1, Blade, MV Agusta F4i and ZX10. The Aprilia RSV4 Factory was MIA.

Just something I found a bit interesting and is probably old news to some...

Cheers

??? I can tell you that in 4th gear there is no difference in Sport, Race, nor Slick modes as it pertains to peak HP.

Hmmm, they must have done it in a gear other than 4th, cause there was a definite difference when they put the slick mode plug in.

Strange

I remember reading the BMW Tec. spec that states that full power is produced in Sport, Race and Slick modes.
The only difference is the way the throttle responds and power/DTC is delivered in each mode.
