Default Slick Mode?

I finally got around to installing my slick plug. Now read the question carefully ....

Wonder what it does on a "standard" bike (one without DTC or ABS)?

Changes throttle response and power delivery when slick mode is selected.

I don't really see a difference between slick mode and race mode myself, besides being able to do a longer wheelie with tractoin control on.

Could just be me though. What I do know is rain and sport mode suck.

I didn't notice much difference between race mode and slick mode but I simply assumed that I do not ride hard enough on the road to notice the subtleties. Perhaps Valentino would.

BTW, I use sport mode for at least 60% of the time and think it's pretty good. Race mode is good on the right road at the right time but crap on the motorway or on traffic. Too snatchy. Rain mode is dull but a blessing when I'm riding to work at 6.30am in the pissing rain.

I use Slick mode in when it's dry, Race mode for the rear ABS when it's wet. Slick mode can be rather snatchy if you're not smooth. Otherwise, the other modes just don't feel as responsive when you are used to riding in Slick mode.

Cause it's been raining since I installed it. Maybe I should just remove it.

No need to remove it, just don't put it in slick mode if you don't want to. There is no big difference in the race and slick settings. When it stops raining try it out for yourself.

Default Have to agree

Have to agree with the above, biggest difference comes moving from sport to race. While rain is dull, it was nice to have today in my hundred mile pouring highway ride.
