Default Vortex vs attack performance rearsets?

Anyone got anything to say about which they prefer and why?
Anyone try both yet?

Have not tried Vortex.

I do have Attack on the BMW. Like them because if you ever want to try GP shift or go back and forth, you can do it by making a quick linkage change. Also, Attack sells each part individually so you can always repair without having to buy a whole set. They've also got some nice features such as a break away point in the peg itself. So if you're racing you might be able to continue. They also seem to be engineered to break little parts (like the peg itself) before big expensive parts (like the main mount, or your frame).

Have run them on the BMW as well as two prior R1's all with good results.

I have always used Vortex as well, but think I will be going with Attack for the S1000rr mainly due to being able to use either shift pattern (GP or standard). From my understanding, Attack is on of the only rearsets out that you can run either configuration.

The Vortex are supposed to be able to run gp shift also.

Vortex can be swapped between the two shift modes.
Had them on our race bike over the weekend:

My only gripe with them is the design of pedal attachment/mount.
They use a machined threaded spacer that runs through the bearings from the inside & mounts the pedal to the rearset with an M6 bolt from the outside.
The problem is that the spacer doesn't have a hex on the back of it, so you can't fit a spanner on it to tighten it.
Basically, even with threadlock we had both of them come loose throughout the day and affect the shifting performance as the pedal became sloppy.

Hence why I will be fitting the Gilles reverse shift pedal.

Overall they are pretty good and do offer good adjustability.
However I also have a set of Attacks waiting for when the bike is back on the road, as they are pure sex compared to the Vortex.

I think I will be going with the Attack rearsets then....unless I get another sponsorship from Vortex and get a great deal.

I just bought a set of the GB Racing covers from Riders Discount myself!

I have the vortex, as well. This is my third set (CBR, R1 and the S).

I got a smoking deal on them from Rider's Discount. Much cheaper than I could find on the Attacks. And they do require threadlock.
