Post HP Parts Bulletin from BMW & Waiver

This is a copy of the latest bulletin from BMW NA regarding race parts. I hope it's legible in this format. The last page is the waiver that will be required to be signed with purchase.

Mainly acknowledging that these are 'not for street use', and that the vehicle warranty will be compromised. I have been told that the VIN will be flagged in the BMW system so if/when a warranty claim is submitted by the Dealer is will be flagged for review - mainly drive train claims. At that time BMW's warranty dept will determine if this a covered defect or a non-covered issue caused by use of these high performance parts that in their wording 'shorten service life'.

I am also told that these are the 'kit' electronics that the WSB team is currently using. Considering that the BMW S1K had the most powerful engine on the WSB grid in 2010 it stands to reason that the increase will be substantial.

No word yet on a list of approved HP Dealers.

Don't think it is going to be sold in the US.

An official race team may be able to get it but a guy off the street or a privateer I doubt it.

Yea, I was wrong. But that is good. I don't think it was really available but we were able to get one a month or so ago. They haven't really been able to get it going as there was a mix up of following directions or not having directions.

I think they are coming out soon. It will mess with the warranty a bit but not sure how much.
