Default sluggish quick shifter ?

Since ive had the bike, the quickshifter has worked well, but recently it has become become very slow to react if at all, sometimes taking a lot of force on the gear pedal.
Im wondering is the chain tension a factor in this ? on my R6, if the chain adjustment is too slack she wont quick shift.
Have any of you had a similar problem with this and what did you find ?

Have you checked the clutch switch?

Yes. Make sure you resolve the shifter issue before you fit new levers. The clutch switch can go out. Just recheck as per the instructions here somewhere. Search for 'clutch switch' there is a diagram of how it should be adjusted.

If you're used to using a real QS then the BMW one is utter crap although some people will say different!

Get yourself an HM quickshifter if you want something that works properly, the only plus side to the BMW one is the noise that it makes (but it only makes that noise because it is not operating properly)

Never had a problem with mine.

Have the HM Quick Shifter SH on my Busa and like the BMW OEM better.
BMW OE shifts quicker and smoother than the HM.
