Default Can't decide between Lightech and LSL Frame sliders

I think the LSL offers more protection but I'm not sure about the shock absorption. Any other thoughts out there? No I'm not getting Gilles and I know everyone has their own opinions but I think its down to these two...

If you go with the LSL I have some silver pucks for sale. Went with LSL for the look! I think its hit or miss when it comes to protection. How the bike fall...etc!

I believe there is a thread about the LSL breaking during a fall...

if u look at both of them the puck only has a half inch or so of plastic before u hit some type of metal (like the bolt in the middle of the lightec) the puck one both of them will be gone in 5 ft of sliding. i know the last time i went down my bike slide for 30 ft. i had sliders that had 4 or 5 inch's of puck and it used most of it. point of all this is with a puck that small its going to wear down to that bolt quick and when that happens that built will dig into the asphalt and cause more damage then no slider at all

My bike slid 40 feet on the LSL and all that was damaged was the plastic scuff pad. The bolt head is actually fairly recessed, and I think you'd be on the hemispherical aluminum part before you got to it. Assuming it hadn't broken in two sometime before and fallen off the bike, of course.
