Default How many miles before Dyno?

Just dyno'd the bike. I have the Akro shorty, BMC race filter, and Bazzaz. The bike put down 163 base tune and 169 after some tunning. Something isnt right my 07 and 09 gsxr were putting down more power than this. Was hoping someone can shed some light on the situation, i'm probably going to put the bike back to stock and do a pull or two and see what happens. The bike honestly felt a lot faster in stock form than now. Any thoughts?

Did you turn off all the electronics? I know if you leave traction control on it screws the dyno reading up.

Was it a Dynojet or Factory Pro or some other brand dyno? Factory Pros read a LOT lower than a dynojet.

That would be a great # if it is a Factory Pro dyno.

That is not right. I would start at the beginning. Disconnect the Bazzaz and put the stock filter back. Dyno. Add filter then bazzaz and in between do runs. If it is still not right and you have identified nothing, get the dealer to do a compression test on the diagnostics. Also, if you can, get another bike to run at the same time for comparison, it might help.

Something definitely isn't right for sure!! Im going to go riding tonight and start to take everything back off the bike: exhaust, bazzaz, and filter and go do a base pull which is what i should have done in the first place. The exhaust is actually a little loud for my taste so i'll probably be throwing that up for sale as well. Im going to put some miles on the bike in stock form as it was the first time seeing red line on the dyno and feel the motor is still "to green". If its still putting down sub par numbers than back to the dealer I go for the "leak down" test. Had my buddys bike there last night as well. He put down 180 previosly and put down 178 last night but it was hotter in the room than his 180 pull so it's still right there.

I think there are a few things going on here as to why the power was low.

1. Shorty Akro with big piping no back pressure and no timing control= fail
2. Motor has a little over 600 miles
3. Bazzaz vs Powercommander? I've always used Powercommander on all my bikes but decided to try Bazzaz this time.
