Default Bike feels sluggish while cruising

Hi Guys,

I am a new to the forum and also a new S1000RR 2011 model. Bike now has 2,500km mileage on it. Bike is stock.

While cruising and maintaining throttle at 5,000rpm @ 4th or 5th gear. Then when i twist the throttle for more power, the bike feels sluggish. Feels like no power or not getting fuel properly. I have to twist the throttle harder and only after 7,000 rpm then the power kicks in again. Is it normal? Just need to be sure because after cruising your hands gets numbed and you have to force the throttle yourself for power to kick in again. Would appreciate feedbacks please. Thanks

Mine doesn't do this... Should be pretty smooth and consistent. I would have your dealer check it out.

the bike has very little power at 4-5k rpm in 4th or 5th gear. switch gears to 2nd or 3rd and crack on it. Also ride in sport or race. Rain mode has absolutley no power. you only have about 60 to 70 hp at the wheel in the 5k rpm range. Also the bike wont rev as fast accelerating in 5th vs 2nd gear. so you wont get to the power very fast. If it still feels sluggish then have your dealer check it out.

No matter the mode, it should be smooth and consistent. You'll know if there is an issue and the simple fact that you're asking would lead most to believe that it isn't acting properly.

Sure it's not gonna come on as strong as when you get up above 9/10K but it still has power and should be delivered smoothly/consistently.

I solved this problem by putting my bike in caps lock mode.
