S1000RR Diagonstic scan tool and/or software availble? Older biker

This is my first post! Yes I've been looking through the forums. I'm and older motorcyle/auto DIY'er & Toolmaker, & rider with 40 yrs experiance. Thinking of buying S1000RR used from private seller. Remember it's an age thing for me trying to understand all this various computer jargon which is always a struggle.
I've been searching around your Forums but I'm not sure if I'm interpreting the info correctly.

I want to know if there is a scan tool (like the OTC Genisys I use for my autos) for BMW S1000RR's? Or can the software be purchased for Lap Top use/diagnosis. If there are different types/levels, what would be the top quality, cost, and where to buy?
Would love to buy a S1000RR, would also like to be able to troubleshoot/diagnose it beyond the mechanical challege.
