Default Ahhh,.. Rear Braking Power

I know that the front brake is greater than 70% of your stopping power, but the S1 stock rear brake felt non-existent. So I switched out with the Galfer Wave Rotor and Galfer Carbon pads and what a difference! Finally, I can feel that there is a rear brake on this bike. Did the install myself in 20 minutes including pads. Got a great deal through Hard Racing on the product.

Nice

Me 2, when the bike was new, the rear brake power was good but now i only use it when going between cars in the traffic light or near dead stop
I may use your setup in the future when the rear needs to be changed.
Is it compatible with the ABS or DTC?

Do you guys use your rear brake a lot (other than non-ideal conditions - gravel, etc.)?

Would you say this mod has bite or is it more of a progressive thing?

I'd like like to add more bite to my rear brake so I can control full throttle wheelies (only time I use the rear brake) with just a dab of the pedal rather than a big old long push! I was actually thinking of fitting a motocross master cylinder.

Do you feel like the new rotor/pad combo has changed the way integral braking functions?

Honestly, i feel upgrading the rear brakes on any bike short of changing from drum to disc is unnecessary, but with BST wheels already, you must just be looking for mods to do The wave rotor really does compliment the rear of your bike. Looks good.

I like using the rear brake when stopping in roads with gravel dropped from trucks. I live buy a gravel pit and there are trucks off and on the freeway all day dropping gravel. It's nice to have a rear brake that actually works for stopping. By the way, when you lay into it, you can really feel the ABS kicking in. With ABS off, you can lock it up easily. Couldn't do that before with the stock setup.
